Looking for Mabel Normand

Madcap Mabel Normand

We know that Mabel Normand loved the “sweet science” as early as March 1915 there were stories in newspapers stating that she “Simply Dotes” on boxers: http://looking-for-mabel.webs.com/boxing.htm

During the making of Suzanna in 1922, Mabel met an Egyptian Prince, who was fascinated with boxing. There were stories that Mabel and Prince Ibraham were more than casual friends and had met again in Paris later that year. http://looking-for-mabel.webs.com/princeibrahim.htm

Now another boxers enters Mabel’s ring…when I first read the story found in Roger Kahn’s “A Flame of Pure Fire: Jack Dempsey and the Roaring ‘20s”, I didn’t think much of it, I didn’t think it was true that Jack slept with Mabel, after all I had no proof but recently a 1923 photo has surfaced … Here is something that may reflect a new corner in Mabel’s ring.  http://looking-for-mabel.webs.com/boxersmabel.htm
