Dorothy Gish sat in the studio of Charles Sheldon at Carnegie Hall, New York. The picture that was created was used on the cover of the August 1925 Photoplay Magazine. This portrait on canvas was said to be a very remarkable transfer of the delightful personality of Dorothy. Note that the pretty flowers have not yet been added to the painting on the easel, I think they add something to the overall look. At the time the artist wrote that the picture was well worth preserving.
