HOLLYWOOD(LAND) SIGN

 

 

          

Mount Lee, California

 

Mack Sennett and a syndicate of other investors formed a land development

project which has only its sign left.  The sign dominates the Hollywood skyline

looking north/east.  The land is gone but Hollywood is still here. The Hollywood

Sign is the most famous sign in the world. It is located on Mount Lee in Griffith

Park overlooking Hollywood.  The Sign was built in 1923.
