So the world is “Looking-for-Mabel”, recently, just about 10 days ago, the people at freeweb, the host of this site, have allowed the visitors to the site to let me know where they are coming from. No, I don’t have access to names or email addresses or anything personal but I am able to find out what the most popular pages are at the site and what country the visits are from, on a wonderful Google style map.
The information from all of the visits are not available, I don’t understand what the criteria is but it might be something to do with ‘firewalls’ but anyway, even with the spotty data, I have found a couple of rather interesting things, well interesting to me anyway…
Visitors come to the LFM site using the search engines, Google, Yahoo, etc and links from places like Wikipedia. There have been more hits from people looking for images of Gloria Swanson (I only have one) then people looking for Mabel Normand!
