A Personality Review

Blanche Sweet was a little temperamental.  Sometimes she would go to the parties and sometimes she wouldn’t.

Charlie Chaplin would always call for and bring Mack Sennett and Mabel Normand to the Hinman parties.  Sometimes Mack and Mabel would have a quarrel and Mabel would go home alone.

Ruth Roland and Jack Pickford used to entertain the crowd, doing apache dances together.  And at a little later date Viola Dana and Shirley Mason used to perform for the crowds.

One of the first big barbecue parties was given by Mack Sennett, and he invited everybody to his ranch.  At the barbecue he announced his engagement to Mabel Normand, and he showed us her diamond ring.

Later on there was a party at Tom Ince’s, where Mack and Mabel had a fight.  Mack tried his best to make up, but Mabel wouldn’t.  Mabel was deeply in love with Mack, but would never give in when there was a quarrel.
