Mabel Normand was an international “Movie Star” The number of covers around the world that show her is huge. In the personal papers that are at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ library of Mack Sennett, I found another proof of this fact. It wasn’t the whole magazine; Mack had only saved the cover of his Mabel on “The Movie Times.” “The Movie Times” was published in Japan; issue 168 was dated August 11, 1924. Mabel made her last film with him, “The Extra Girl” released during the Christmas Season of 1923 and yet Mack kept the cover of her on a Japanese fan magazine.
